Its corporate home changed in 2026: under a demerger approved by shareholders in January 2026 and completed with a separate Oslo listing in April 2026, Kongsberg Maritime became an independent listed company, while Kongsberg Discovery was consolidated together with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace into the continuing, technology- and defence-focused KONGSBERG (verified against the group’s official demerger announcement of 30 October 2025 and subsequent shareholder approval). Discovery therefore remains part of the KOG-listed group, not of the spun-off maritime company. The Norwegian state remains the majority owner of the continuing group.
