About MDA Space

MDA Space Ltd. is a Brampton, Ontario space-technology company whose Robotics & Space Operations business created the space-robotics industry: its Canadarm flew on the Space Shuttle from 1981, and its successors Canadarm2 and the Dextre manipulator still run the International Space Station’s external robotics, operated with MDA support under Canadian Space Agency contracts. The next generation, Canadarm3 — a large arm, a smaller dexterous arm, tools and a ground segment for NASA’s lunar Gateway station — is in final design and construction under a $1 billion CSA contract awarded in 2024, controlled from MDA’s Space Robotics Centre of Excellence in Brampton.

In 2024 the company productised this heritage as MDA SKYMAKER, a commercial suite of arms, joints, end effectors, avionics and mission operations offered for commercial space stations, lunar rovers and landers, satellite servicing in all orbits, and in-space assembly and manufacturing. Robotics is one of three MDA business areas, alongside satellite systems and geointelligence, and the company states it has supported more than 450 missions over a 55-year history. For partners, MDA Space is the reference supplier for flight-proven, human-rated space robotics and the operations services behind them.

GlobleMatch Trust Signals

A directory that doesn’t sell stars. Trust Signals are built only from verifiable facts — never from anonymous ratings, and never for sale. There is no single hidden score.

Public information coverage	9 of 9 fields on the standard profile could be filled from public sources. This counts how much public information exists about the company — not how good the company is. The nine fields are listed in the methodology. Claiming the profile lets the company complete the remaining fields itself.
Last verified	6 November 2026 — facts on this profile were checked against the sources listed below. Profiles are re-checked on a published 90-day cycle; this date is never quietly refreshed.

Claim this profile to unlock response record, directory tenure and peer endorsements. The full methodology — what each signal measures and how it is calculated — is published in the Trust Signals methodology, including a change log.
