About Efort Intelligent Equipment

Efort Intelligent Equipment (埃夫特) is a Chinese industrial robot manufacturer headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui, which grew out of carmaker Chery’s equipment business and became independent in 2007. It is positioned in the first tier of China’s domestic robot makers and reports cumulative deliveries of more than 100,000 robots (company-stated). Efort’s range covers articulated industrial robots for welding, painting and spraying, palletising, handling and assembly, plus desktop robots, built on in-house core components — controllers, servo systems and reducers — so the company spans the chain from components to complete robots to turnkey intelligent-manufacturing lines.

A long acquisition programme in Europe gave it Italian painting-robot maker CMA Robotics (profiled separately in this directory as #202; CMA is Efort’s Italian subsidiary and painting-robotics R&D centre, and its business is not double-counted here), motion-control maker ROBOX and other Italian, Polish, French and Indian engineering units. Recent work extends into embodied intelligence through its Qizhi (Openmind) venture.
