About Kassow Robots

Kassow Robots is a Danish manufacturer of lightweight collaborative robot arms, headquartered in Kastrup near Copenhagen and founded in 2014. It occupies a distinctive niche: it is the only cobot maker whose entire range has seven axes, giving its arms the ability to reach around corners and work in very tight spaces where six-axis cobots cannot be placed. The range comprises five models — the KR 810, KR 1018, KR 1205, KR 1410 and KR 1805 — spanning reaches from 850 to 1,800 mm and payloads from 5 to 18 kg at joint speeds up to 225 degrees per second, plus an Edge Edition line with the controller integrated into the base, designed for mobile manipulation.

The arms target industrial tasks such as machine tending, welding, packaging, palletising and quality inspection, and are programmed through a simple tablet-based interface. In April 2022 Bosch Rexroth became the company’s majority owner, folding Kassow into its factory-automation portfolio; the cobots are now also integrated into Bosch Rexroth’s ctrlX automation platform, and the company sells through its own channels and a partner network across Europe and beyond. For partners, Kassow offers a differentiated 7-axis product line backed by a major automation group.
