About Livox

Livox is a lidar manufacturer headquartered in Shenzhen that was founded in 2016 through DJI’s open innovation programme to make high-performance laser sensors affordable beyond the automotive industry. Rather than the repetitive line-scanning pattern of conventional lidar, Livox sensors use a non-repetitive scanning approach — a rosette-like pattern that covers more of the field of view the longer it observes — which the company argues gives dense point clouds from compact, lower-cost hardware. Its catalogue is organised by use case. The Mid series targets robots and mobile machines: the Mid-360 and its successors give mobile robots 360-degree perception, while models such as the Mid-70 and Mid-40 serve industrial and service robots.

The Tele-15, Horizon and Avia lines serve long-range perception, mapping and surveying, and the HAP line of automotive-grade lidar has gone into series production in passenger cars. Company materials cite more than 1,500 customers in 26 countries and 587 patents, and in a February 2025 joint announcement the company said its Mid-360 mobile-robot lidar had passed 100,000 units delivered. For partners, Livox is one of the key sensor suppliers of the current robotics wave: a large share of new quadruped, humanoid and warehouse robots perceive their surroundings through its compact spinning sensors.
