About Enchanted Tools

Enchanted Tools is a Paris company building the Mirokaï, a family of humanoid social robots designed to be useful in places where people receive care or hospitality — and to be liked while doing it. The company was established in October 2021 by a team led by a co-founder of Aldebaran who had been a lead designer of the Nao and Pepper robots, and it deliberately mixes robotics engineers with animation-film and character-design talent: the Mirokaï are presented as characters, the fox-like Miroki and Miroka, with backstories, expressive faces and a warm manner, rather than as plain machines. Underneath the character work is a mobile humanoid platform with AI-driven conversation and interaction, mobility and safety systems aimed at working beside patients, elderly residents, children and the staff who care for them.

Target settings are hospitals and clinics, nursing homes and supported living, followed by retail, hotels, restaurants and airports. The robots have been shown publicly since CES 2023 and have moved into real-world pilots: accompanying children through radiotherapy at a Montpellier cancer institute, supporting hydration reminders and wellbeing checks in a Paris nursing home, a companion-robot study in a United States senior-living community, and a concierge trial at Lyon Airport. The company has opened its first commercial deployments and runs a developer programme for research and innovation labs, while a distribution agreement covers sales in Japan.
