About WEISS Robotics

WEISS Robotics is a German specialist in mechatronic gripping systems that has developed and manufactured smart servo-electric grippers in Ludwigsburg since 2008. The owner-managed family business builds grippers for the sensitive, precise handling of demanding workpieces in assembly automation, electronics and semiconductor production, life sciences and intralogistics. Its servo-electric modules integrate their own gripping control with sensorless force regulation, workpiece detection and grip monitoring, so the gripper itself senses whether a part is present and how firmly it is held. Product families include the compact CLG series — among the smallest fully integrated servo grippers available, certified for ISO Class 5 cleanrooms — the IEG PLUS series with IO-Link for PLC environments, the CRG series, the network-based WPG series, the INTRAPAL palletizing gripper for intralogistics, and the STERIGRIP line in hygienic design for pharmaceutical and biotech applications.

A defining element is GRIPLINK, the company’s integration ecosystem of tested robot plug-ins, standardised interfaces and unified commands that connects its grippers directly to robot controllers from major manufacturers and supports "Plug & Produce" commissioning; an optional Motion Stream Interface lets higher-level controllers stream motion and force limits to the gripper for AI-driven applications. The long-running WSG series is being phased out in favour of WPG and IEG PLUS. All products are developed and manufactured in Ludwigsburg and sold to customers and partners worldwide.
