About Pollen Robotics

Pollen Robotics is a Bordeaux-based French robotics company known for Reachy, a family of open-source humanoid robots built for research, education and AI development. Founded in 2016 by former Inria researchers, the company made its name with the original Reachy — a modular humanoid with an expressive head and seven-degree-of-freedom arms — and its successor Reachy 2, a full open-source humanoid platform used by laboratories including Cornell and Carnegie Mellon and priced at $70,000. In April 2025 Pollen Robotics was acquired by Hugging Face for an undisclosed sum, becoming the AI platform’s robotics team and folding its work into the open-source LeRobot effort; the Reachy brand and product line continue under Hugging Face.

The first post-acquisition product, Reachy Mini, is an open-source desktop companion robot (from $299) sold as a self-assembly kit and programmable in Python and JavaScript, with a community app store on the Hugging Face Hub; the company reports more than 10,000 units shipped (company-stated). A second consumer robot, the 25 cm Microduck biped, followed in 2026. For partners, Pollen is the most visible open-hardware humanoid programme in Europe, now backed by Hugging Face’s distribution and developer ecosystem.

GlobleMatch Trust Signals

A directory that doesn’t sell stars. Trust Signals are built only from verifiable facts — never from anonymous ratings, and never for sale. There is no single hidden score.

Public information coverage	8 of 9 fields on the standard profile could be filled from public sources. This counts how much public information exists about the company — not how good the company is. The nine fields are listed in the methodology. Claiming the profile lets the company complete the remaining fields itself.
Last verified	6 November 2026 — facts on this profile were checked against the sources listed below. Profiles are re-checked on a published 90-day cycle; this date is never quietly refreshed.

Claim this profile to unlock response record, directory tenure and peer endorsements. The full methodology — what each signal measures and how it is calculated — is published in the Trust Signals methodology, including a change log.
