About MAB Robotics

MAB Robotics is a Poznań-based Polish company — the first spin-off from Poznań University of Technology — that develops legged robots and the motion-control components behind them. Its flagship platform is Honey Badger, a compact quadruped robot (60 cm long, 12 kg) built for inspection and maintenance in places humans cannot easily reach: the waterproof fourth-generation machine, launched in 2024, has inspected heating distribution tunnels and water and sewage networks in Poznań and can operate fully submerged, walking along the bottom of flooded pipes and pools, carrying RGB and thermal cameras, LiDAR and gas sensing. Alongside the robot, MAB sells the component technology it was built from: the MD Series of brushless motor controllers, the MA Series of integrated robotic actuators, CANdleHAT interfaces, SLIM electromagnetic brakes and a modular power distribution system — products the company states are used in hundreds of robots worldwide, across mobile robotics, aerospace, agriculture and research.

The company also undertakes custom robotics development, from wheel drives for agricultural robots to knee joints for humanoids and ultralight robotic arms for harsh environments. For partners, MAB is both a supplier of proven drive components and a specialist in small legged platforms for underground and underwater inspection.
