About Muratec

Muratec is the brand of Murata Machinery, Ltd., a privately held, family-owned Japanese machinery group founded in Kyoto in 1935. Its logistics and factory-automation business supplies automated material handling for factories and distribution centres: automated storage and retrieval systems, the SHUTTLINER high-speed transport system, automated guided vehicles and, on the robotics side, the "It’s Navi" Intelligent Transfer Navigation System, an autonomous mobile robot control platform the company has developed since beginning autonomous-robot work in 2001 and commercialised with its MKR-003 robot.
