About iRobot

iRobot is the maker of Roomba, the best-known brand in home robot vacuums, and remains an operating company under new ownership. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Bedford, Massachusetts, the company pioneered consumer home robots and still designs, sells and supports the Roomba line: its 2026 range includes the Roomba Plus 575 and the Roomba Plus 415 Combo with an AutoWash dock, alongside the iRobot OS software that runs the fleet. Its ownership changed fundamentally at the turn of 2026. After filing a prepackaged Chapter 11 case on 14 December 2025, iRobot was acquired on 23 January 2026 by its long-time manufacturing partner Shenzhen PICEA Robotics, which took 100% of the equity; the company was delisted from Nasdaq and is now privately held, with the Roomba brand, the Bedford headquarters and independent operations continuing.
