About AutoStore

AutoStore is a Norwegian warehouse-automation company founded in 1996 and headquartered in Nedre Vats on Norway’s west coast. It invented cube storage: a modular aluminium grid in which bins are stacked directly on top of each other and battery-powered robots drive across the top of the grid to dig out, lift and deliver bins to operator workstations. The system removes aisles entirely, so it stores far more inventory per square metre than conventional shelving or shuttle systems, and it scales by adding robots, bins or grid modules. The current range includes the R5 robot family on the Red Line and the higher-capacity Black Line, several port types for goods-to-person picking, the CubeControl software with its Router optimisation engine, the Qubit Fulfillment Platform and robotic picking workstations such as CarouselAI and VersaAI.

AutoStore sells through a global network of integrator partners and reports more than 1,850 systems installed in over 60 countries (company-stated; figures grow with each reporting period). It listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in October 2021 under the ticker AUTO, in one of Norway’s largest technology IPOs. Public filing data puts the workforce at roughly 1,000 employees. Customers are concentrated in retail, e-commerce, grocery and third-party logistics.
