About AUBO Robotics

AUBO Robotics is a Beijing manufacturer of lightweight collaborative robots and one of China’s earliest domestic cobot brands. Its range covers six-axis arms with payloads from 3 kg to 35 kg — the iS series (including Pro, SE, standard and explosion-proof variants), the newer G series and the C series — sold with AUBO’s own controllers, teach pendants and operating software, for tasks such as machine tending, welding, palletising, screwdriving, polishing and inspection in automotive, 3C electronics and general manufacturing. The company states that it develops its core components in-house, and it produces at bases in Changzhou, Jiangsu and Zibo, Shandong alongside its Beijing headquarters. Beyond industrial arms, AUBO has extended into commercial service machines — coffee and ice-cream robots and a physiotherapy robot — education platforms, and embodied-intelligence products including mobile manipulators and dual-arm humanoid research systems.

Founded in 2015, with a predecessor team that began work as Smokie Robotics, AUBO states that its sales and technical support network covers more than 50 countries and regions, including a subsidiary established in Tokyo in 2023. Its funding record is unusually hard to reconcile: PitchBook records about $87 million raised in total, while CB Insights records only $9.04 million of disclosed rounds — a wide divergence flagged in the fact box rather than resolved. For partners, AUBO is a full-range cobot manufacturer with its own component stack and an export network already in place.
