ANYbotics is a Zurich-based maker of autonomous legged robots for industrial inspection, spun out of ETH Zurich in 2016. Its product, ANYmal, is a four-legged robot that patrols plants on pre-planned or autonomous missions, reading gauges, detecting thermal anomalies, gas leaks and acoustic irregularities, and feeding the results into customers' maintenance systems. A newer model, ANYmal X, is built for explosive atmospheres in oil, gas and chemical plants, and the company also offers an operations platform that lets reliability teams plan missions, review findings and turn them into work orders. ANYbotics sells to operators in power and utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, mining, metals and materials processing, where inspections are routine but often take place in areas that are hazardous, remote or short-staffed.

The company states its systems analyse more than 120,000 inspections a month across more than 1,000 monitored industrial assets (company-stated figures). Named customers shown on its site include energy and industrial groups in Europe, the Americas and Australia, and it supports them from Zurich with additional offices in San Francisco and a newer engineering hub in Barcelona. For partners, ANYbotics is one of the few suppliers offering explosion-proof legged inspection robots as a commercial, supported product rather than a research platform.
