About Nous

Nous is a London-based consumer service whose AI agent takes household administration off its members’ hands. Operating mainly through WhatsApp, the agent manages recurring bills and subscriptions: it finds cheaper energy, broadband, mobile and car-insurance deals and switches providers, negotiates supplier rates, cancels unwanted subscriptions, tracks renewals and flags unfavourable contract terms, and handles everyday tasks such as filling in paperwork, managing family calendars, booking appointments and finding tradespeople. Unlike comparison tools that only recommend, Nous is designed to act on the member’s behalf once authorised, combining large language models with rules-based logic for sensitive financial decisions.

Founded in 2021, Nous is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority, which allows it to support regulated activities such as buying insurance, and states that it makes no money from advertising or selling customer data. The company says almost 250,000 UK households use the service, overseeing more than £685 million of annual household spending, with an average saving of £734 per household (company-reported). After a US$9 million seed round in 2022, it raised a further US$17 million in October 2026 to expand internationally and into more regulated categories, taking total funding to about US$26 million.
